On Saturday, April 26th, MSH went on pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The Shrine is located on top of a mountain in the Berkshires known as Eden Hill. Beautiful outdoor altars including a replica of Lourdes and a warm sunny day in the peaceful atmosphere invited prayer and mediation. The indoor Shrine of Divine Mercy is filled with paintings, beautiful carvings, and the relics of many Saints, including St. Faustina, St. Peregrine, and momentos of Pope John Paul II from his visit to the Shrine. We had the opportunity for Confession, Benediction and Exposition, Mass and, of course, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. All topped off by a wonderful dinner in the quaint New England town of Stockbridge. Pilgrimage is a wonderful way to re-connect and immerse yourself in prayer and reflection... A special thank you to Sue Stroosnyder for planning this wonderful day, and to Sr.Vicky, Fr. Felix and Sr. Lisa who accompanied the pilgrims!
