MSH has come full circle... It is one year since we moved from a photo gallery to a media gallery with our video postings. Forty-six videos and an entire ligurgical cycle later, we begin to tell our story again - during this best week - Holy Week. For those of you who cannot visit in person - WELCOME! For our parishioners, we look forward to seeing you during the Triduum. Make some time during these three days and spend some time with the Lord.
Each year on Holy Thursday evening, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish abandons the "Upper Room" which is our church after the washing of feet (mandatum) and procession to The Tomb of Christ where everything will take place until the Easter Vigil on Saturday night. Thousands of people walk through The Tomb of Christ below the church on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and during Food Blessings on Saturday morning. There is no other parish that assembles such a spiritual symbol of Easter and Christ's resurrection. The Tomb is a feast for all the senses - be sure to look for all the signs and symbols: the rooster in the garden, grapes, wheat, fish and the crystal "tears" on the handkerchief of Mary the Sorrowing Mother. Don't miss the opportunity to spend some quality time with God during the Triduum - come and visit the Tomb and be renewed.
As always, a very special thank you to Fr. Steve and his entire crew for this beautiful worship space.
